1. Company Identity & Independent Status
Unitech Home Services operates under the legally registered entity PROTECT TECHNICAL SERVICES L.L.C (Trade License No: 757322) in Dubai, UAE.
We are a 100% independent, third-party repair provider. We specialize exclusively in out-of-warranty appliance repairs and are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any official appliance manufacturers. By accepting our services, you acknowledge our independent status.
2. Warranty Policy
We stand behind our workmanship and the quality of the parts we provide. Our warranty policy is structured as follows:
A. Spare Parts Warranty: We provide a limited warranty on any new spare parts installed by our technicians. The specific warranty period depends on the part type and will be clearly stated on your invoice (typically ranging from 1 to 3 months).
B. Labor Warranty: We offer a 30-day warranty on our repair labor. If the exact same technical fault occurs within 30 days of the original repair, our technician will fix it without charging additional labor fees.
Warranty Exclusions (When warranty is void):
- If the appliance is repaired, modified, or tampered with by any other third-party technician or the customer after our service.
- Damage caused by electrical power surges, short circuits, or incorrect voltage.
- Issues arising from improper usage, negligence, or physical damage.
- Damage caused by pests, water leaks (unrelated to our repair), or natural disasters.
- The warranty applies ONLY to the specific part replaced and the specific labor performed, not the entire appliance.
3. Diagnostic and Call-Out Fees
To accurately identify the problem with your appliance, our skilled technicians must visit your location and perform a thorough inspection.
- A standard Diagnostic / Call-Out Fee applies for the technician's visit, time, and inspection.
- If you agree to proceed with the repair quotation provided by our technician, this diagnostic fee is usually waived or deducted from the final repair cost.
- Non-Refundable: If you choose NOT to proceed with the repair after the diagnosis is complete, the Diagnostic / Call-Out fee remains fully payable and is strictly non-refundable.
4. Refund Policy
At Unitech Home Services, we strive for 100% customer satisfaction. However, due to the nature of technical repair services, refunds are handled under the following strict conditions:
- Labor Charges: Labor charges are non-refundable once the repair service has been successfully completed.
- Spare Parts: Installed electronic or mechanical spare parts are non-refundable unless they are proven to be defective within the warranty period. If a part is defective, we will replace it free of charge under the warranty terms. We do not offer cash refunds for installed parts.
- Unfixable Appliances: If we start a repair and later discover that the appliance is completely unrepairable due to unforeseen internal damage, we will refund any advance payment made for spare parts. However, the basic diagnostic fee will be retained.
5. Cancellation Policy
We understand that schedules can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your service appointment:
- Please notify us at least 3 hours before the scheduled visit.
- Cancellations made after the technician has already reached your location may be subject to a standard call-out fee to cover transportation costs.
